HYCOR sponsored the new Molecular Allergology User's Guide 2.0 released by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
The new Molecular Allergology User's Guide 2.0 released by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. The updated Guide provides state-of-the-art information on allergen molecules, their clinical relevance and application in diagnostic algorithms for clinical practice. HYCOR is proud to be part of the advancements, with microparticle technology that enables a breakthrough 4uL sample size and limits interference.

Much has changed since the discovery of immunoglobulin E (IgE) as mediator of allergic diseases in 1967! HYCOR is proud to be part of the advancements, with microparticle technology that enables a breakthrough 4uL sample size and limits interference. We're excited to be a sponsor of the new Molecular Allergology User's Guide 2.0 released by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. The updated Guide provides state-of-the-art information on allergen molecules, their clinical relevance and application in diagnostic algorithms for clinical practice.

Molecular Allergology User's Guide 2.0 released by EAACI 2022

The First Edition of “EAACI Molecular Allergology User’s Guide” was released in 2016 and rapidly became a key reference for clinical and basic scientists. However, knowledge on additional allergen sources, on the role of co-factors, and underlying molecular mechanisms has expanded since then.

Therefore, a second edition was developed. With the contribution from more than 95 authors, the content was revised and new allergen sources and allergen protein families included.

The new Molecular Allergology User’s Guide 2.0 provides state-of-the-art information on allergen molecules, their clinical relevance and application in diagnostic algorithms for clinical practice. It is designed for both, clinicians and scientists, guiding health care professionals through the overwhelming list of different allergen molecules identified available for testing. Further, it provides diagnostic algorithms based on current knowledge about the clinical relevance of allergen molecules and gives an overview on the basic mechanisms of test formats, the biology of allergen molecules and the application of tests to measure allergen exposure.

EAACI 2022
The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology congress held on 1-3 July, 2022 at Prague, Czech Republic and online. EAACI Hybrid Congress 2022 is the world’s largest congress specializing in the field of allergy and clinical immunology.
