THE ALLERGY-FOCUSED DESIGN OF NOVEOS analyzer by HYCOR Biomedical
This video offers a short overview of the instrument’s main features and innovations. These include the NOVEOS’ ease of use, how it operates, and instructions on its user maintenance. The video is divided into sections, allowing you to easily search for a specific topic about the NOVEOS’ use and features.
HYCOR developed the NOVEOS System to overcome the challenges laboratories are confronted with, when routinely testing for specific IgE. NOVEOS is the first breakthrough technology for routine allergy testing in 20 years. It combines proven technologies with innovative methodologies that deliver higher quality results and reduce operational costs through improved efficiency.

NOVEOS® DESIGNED WITH YOUR LAB IN MIND
Using extensive input from labs and clinicians around the world, the allergy-focused design brings unmatched competitive advantages. The NOVEOS system requires only 4-μL sample size per test which reduce quantity not sufficient errors, resampling and patient trauma. The advanced micro-particle technology limits interference from: Biotin, IgG / IgG4, and Solid-phase related cross-reactive carbohydrate determinant (CCD). The small sample volume per test leads to less interference from serum-based substances. The microparticle approach gives a dramatic increase in surface area leading to superb sensitivity, excellent low-end precision and operates up to 13 hours of true walk-away capability for laboratory technicians.
Highly automated instrument with a full walk-away capability
Liquid, ready-to-use reagents allowing much larger lot sizes
Cutting-edge immunochemistry for high sensitivity and an excellent low-end precision delivers actionable, reliable results for better clinical decisions
The intuitive user interface allows for ease of training and routine operation
Using only 4 µL sample per test whereas competitor systems need 40-50 µL per test
The 4-μL Sample Size is a Breakthrough!
Significant reduction in sample size helps your lab focus on testing, not sample management NOVEOS not only runs more allergy tests and more follow-up tests per tube, it also reduces additional blood draws. The small sample volume also reduces the need for test prioritization by clinicians and laboratorians. Testing for more allergens using less sample benefits patients and labs. It may seem small, but for pediatric patients and their families, it’s a major upgrade.
